Privacy, in plain language.
Hank is being built around private requests, limited sharing, and clear choices. This policy describes the beta service and will be updated before broader availability.
Information you provide
When the text service opens, Hank may receive your phone number, messages, photos, files, location, job requirements, and communications with local businesses. The website also receives basic technical and usage information through its hosting and analytics providers.
How information is used
We use information to understand your request, find relevant local businesses, obtain and compare bids, coordinate introductions, operate the service, prevent abuse, and improve Hank.
What gets shared
Request details may be shared with a limited set of businesses that appear relevant to the job. Hank does not sell your contact information as a lead. Your direct contact details should only be shared when needed to complete an introduction or with your direction.
Sensitive information
Do not text medical records, payment-card details, government identifiers, account passwords, or other information that is not necessary for a request. Hank is not an emergency, medical, legal, or financial service.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed to provide and improve the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online or messaging system is completely secure.
Your choices
You can stop messaging at any time. Once the beta opens, you may use the contact details on this site to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, subject to applicable law.
Children
Hank is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Updates
We may revise this policy as the beta develops. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
